Molly's mom AnneMarie came today to read us two funny books!
The Book with No Pictures and
My Nasty Backpack! Now we know where Molly gets her sense of humor! We laughed so hard!
This hilarious book is a book with no pictures. You'd think it would be boring...but...you'd be wrong!! Because the person reading as the say everything the words in the book say!
You may want to check your kids' backpacks tonight.
If they are like to pack in this book...yikes!! Slugs, toads and old dirty tissues...YIKES!! But in the end he has a great gift for his mom!
As you have probably seen we do a weekly spelling test in our classroom. Every Friday I send home the "Weekly Report" which has a note, the week's spelling results and the words and phonic feature for the next week so you can practice at home if you want! This week the kids did great. I told them they had to be neat and use all lower case letters!! Wow they did some great work!!
Did you know that a potato can conduct electricity??? Well it can! Caleb did such a great explain and presenting this fun experiment!! Check out his 2 videos below. The longer one. Wouldn't upload so click the button to go the link. It was awesome the light was faint...but a potato really did light up a lightbulb!!
Every week we work on our handwriting in our Handwriting Without Tears work books. Today was a tough letter. Lower case e. When we make lower case e, we pretend we are hitting a baseball, we swing the bat nice and straight, then we run around the bases, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base....and...we don't quite make it home! Today we played a game on the board. We had three team and competed to make the best e, the kids voted which e they liked best for each round.
