We started a new writing unit today...OPINIONS! We are writing reviews and convincing our readers. We looked at our shoe box collections and picked our favorite items and wrote about why they were our favorites. Tomorrow we'll be even more convincing and back it up with reasons and details!
We had a super busy day! Ask us about the bread...sedimentary rocks!
We made fossils today. We made imprints of rocks, arrowhead, pine cones, and feathers in clay. We left the objects next to their imprint, but if we mix them up can we still identify them? We also have some pretty awesome faces!
Today we wrote stories about how to catch a leprechaun. We let our imaginations run wild. We first created a story board planning out a beginning, middle, and end. We wrote down quick snippets and we started our stories with lots of details! If you need to know how to catch a leprechaun you should probably come and read our stories.
St. Patrick's Day was a blast. A leprechaun was actually in our classroom and DESTROYED the room. He threw chairs on the ground and scattered markers all over the place. He even took the caps off the markers. He left behind a distinctive trail of green glitter. Unfortunately, we had to clean up his mess. In other news we made rainbow acrostic poems with our names. They turned out quite beautiful
